Tool Tip
This video will review the RMail® Outlook SideNote® Settings in the RMail® app for Microsoft Outlook. The SideNote® feature allows the sender to add a private note to all of the ‘Cc’ or ‘Bcc’ recipients without the ‘To’ recipients seeing the note. The SideNote® settings in the app are simply to enable or disable the SideNote® feature in the sending feature pop-up. When checked, the SideNote® feature is available in the feature pop-up. When unchecked, it is disabled.
To view the settings you have two options:
Option 1: From the inbox, press ‘File’, then ‘RMail Settings’.
Option 2: From the feature pop-up, press the ‘Settings’ button.
The SideNote® feature allows the sender to add a private note to the ‘Cc’ or ‘Bcc’ recipients without the ‘To’ recipients seeing the note. This is useful when giving the ‘Cc’ or ‘Bcc’ recipients context as to why they were copied on the message. Other examples for using the SideNote® feature may include adding follow-up instructions or instructing them not to “Reply All”.
When sending an RMail® message, if there is an address in the ‘Cc’ or ‘Bcc’ field, the SideNote® box will be available. The ‘Cc’ or ‘Bcc’ recipient will see the SideNote® above the RMail® banner.
Note: The SideNote® feature is available with any of the RMail® features.
